A Complicated Game

XP

If you are familiar with Role Playing Games (RPGs) XP or EXP refers to experience points. XP is accrued in various ways as you interact with the game. XP is typically required to advance your character(s) or items to the next level. Game designers reward the acquisition of XP with new abilities and increased stats.

Grinding

Grinding is a term used to describe the accrual of massive ammounts of XP to increase a character's and or an item's level. A player who grinds for too long will turn the game into childs play, where nothing poses a challenge, and the games design elements fail to have an impact on your decisions.

Inventory

A second game design element of many RPGs is the inventory system. The inventory is a place to store your belongings, inclucing your purse and items discovered, earned, crafted, or purchased along your journey.

Real Life

In real life, or meatspace (an endearing term used by RPG players), the XP and inventory system is analogous to skills and material wealth acquired throughout your life. Grinding occurs when you focus your time on the mastery of a thing. Grinding is also a method of acquiring copious amounts of wealth. Likewise in real life as in it's RPG counterpart there exist alternative methods to acheiving your goals by hacking or exploiting the system to your advantage.

Hacking

In RPGs hacking rewards a player for discovering a backdoor or exploit to circumvent certain game design elements. In real life hacking is considered unethical or morally questionable to many societies, and you may be putting yourself at undue risk or harm by engagiging in this activity. For those who are willing to set asside their fears you are welcome to experiment with several methods of hacking.

Drugs

Drugs with psychoactive properties provide a method to gaining experience that would otherwise be imposible due to biological chemical filters in the brain. Drugs can remove obstacles and open nuerological pathways allowing the mind to percieve things it was previously unaware of. By obtaining a new perspective the mind becomes capable of questioning and evaluating previously held beliefs and assumptions.

Drug use is known to exacerbate prior or latent pyschological disorders, and should be used with extreme caution. Prolonged and overuse of drugs is also known to cloud and distort your perception of reality. Unhealthy tendencies of drug use are one of the reasons why many drugs are illegal or controlled by Governments.

Spiritual Meditation

Spiritual meditation is the practice of freeing your mind from the logical material world to experience an infinite being within alternative planes of existence, in what is sometimes referred to as crossing the spiritual or metaphysical boundary.

Many religions regard the spiritual world as the original source of everything and the ultimate principle underlying reality. Religious organizations tend to indoctrinate their patrons and overprescribe specific techniques or rituals to bring about spiritual experiences. The spiritual world can be experienced by cultivating a mental state through faithful medititation and prayer. True faith is the cornerstone of spiritual meditation, and without faith it may be impossible to experience the spiritual world. Faith is believing and trusting in the source, even when you do not physically percieve or logically understand it.
